Jeopardy phenom James Holzhauer recently told a student newspaper that the biggest thing he’s learned about the iconic game show is that its legendary host is quite the “potty mouth” during commercial breaks.

“I learned that Alex Trebek has a potty mouth once the cameras aren’t recording,” Holzhauer told the Shaler Area Middle School in Glenshaw, Penn., according to Fox News.

He also gave the students who may feel doubtful about following in his large footsteps a bump of encouragement.

“I was an undisciplined student, but I set a goal for Jeopardy and really focused on achieving it,” he said. “No one has ever played Jeopardy like I do, but I didn’t let that stop me from approaching the game the way I thought I should.”

The new record holder, 35, has been on the show for 21 straight games; surpassing the $1 million mark faster than anyone in the history of the show. He holds the record for single-day earnings too, with $131,127. Holzhauer’s current winnings total $1,608,627.
