It’s been five years since Jon Stewart walked away from The Daily Show, but as The Hollywood Reporter notes, the comedian will make his highly anticipated return to television in the form of a new current affairs show for Apple TV+.

Stewart will executive produce the as-yet-untitled show through his company Busboy Productions. But fans expecting another version of The Daily Show are in for a twist: the series will reportedly feature hour-long, single-subject episodes instead of nightly half-hour reactions to the news.

The show is part of a multi-year first-look deal with the streaming service, and according to The Hollywood Reporter it’ll run for multiple seasons and feature Stewart focusing on “a host of topics at the center of both the national conversation and his own advocacy work.”

“For Apple, nabbing Stewart’s Daily Show follow-up is a major coup,” the publication writes. “In his nearly two decades as host of the Comedy Central series, he earned 20 Emmys — including 10 consecutive outstanding variety series wins — and almost single-handedly redefined political satire in American culture. Though Stewart’s new entry won’t have a nightly or even weekly cadence, it’s poised to thrust Apple TV+ into the national dialogue in a richer way.”
