It’s been a rough couple of days for owners of the Golden State Warriors.

During the same game that saw partial team owner Mark Stevens shove Kyle Lowry of the Raptors, the wife of Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob had a courtside interaction with Jay-Z and Beyonce that has led to her being threatened.

While TV cameras were trained on the famous couple, Nicole Curran leaned across Beyonce and started talking to Jay-Z. Beyonce, who had been smiling, did not look happy with the conversation and gave Curran the side-eye.

After social media got a load of Beyonce’s less-than-cheerful reaction, the clip went viral, and fans of the superstar singer began targeting Curran on social media.

Curran, who said she was was simply asking Jay-Z if he wanted a lime in his drink, deleted her Instagram account after even receiving death threats.

“There was no hostility,” Curran told ESPN. “I was trying to be a good hostess. I’ve never experienced cyberbullying like this. I can’t believe our players go through this. That kids go through this.”

According to Curran, Beyonce and Jay-Z have been hers and the Warriors guests at Oracle Arena in Oakland three or four times in the past.

In an Instagram post, Beyoncé‘s publicist asked the singer’s “Beyhive” fan base to stop spewing “hate” at Curran.
