Tim Tebow won’t be making the majors this year — but he will be making a major motion picture.
Tebow and his brother Robby have been working on a faith-based movie called Run the Race. The movie is in the final stage of post-production after filming wrapped up in Alabama this week.
The movie, which is about a pair of brothers (a track star and a football player) overcoming adversity through sports, stars Mykelti Williamson, Frances Fisher, Tanner Stine, and Evan Hofer, as well as Mario Van Peebles and former Heisman-winner Eddie George.
Even though postproduction isn’t done, negotiations for a theatrical release are underway.
“This is a story about overcoming the hard issues of life, about the power of sacrifice, the power of family and the power of forgiveness,” Tebow said. “I love being a part of a project like this because it will impact lives.”
