After defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals last night, the Toronto Raptors are on their way to their first-ever appearance in the NBA Finals, and the mood once they’d secured victory over Milwaukee was jubilant, including, unsurprisingly, a handful of shots of an ecstatic Drake over the course of the game. The Raptors will face off against the Golden State Warriors in the finals.

A look at the odds for that series, however, might temper the celebrations in Toronto just a bit. According to a report from ESPN, the Warriors are heavy favorites to win the series. This has become par for the course for Golden State — as ESPN’s article points out, “The Warriors were favored in the past four Finals series, all coming against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and won three of the past four titles.” An injury to Golden State’s Kevin Durant hasn’t had much of an effect on those odds — Durant’s injury will likely sideline him for some (if not all) of the finals, but his team has been playing well without him.

The NBA Finals will kick off on Thursday, May 30.

As for the Milwaukee Bucks, owner Wes Edens has another nerve-wracking athletic competition to prepare for in the coming days: he’s also an owner of the English soccer team Aston Villa, who will play Derby County on Monday to determine which of them will be promoted to the Premier League. Might that have had some bearing on Drake’s online presence during the recent Milwaukee-Toronto series? It just might.
