Owner Dan Snyder Releasing Ex-Washington Team Employees from NDAs

With the NFL assuming oversight of the investigation into the Washington Football Team’s workplace following many claims of sexual harassment, owner Daniel Snyder is reportedly releasing current and former employees from nondisclosure agreements.

Snyder is releasing the team employees from the NDAs so they can cooperate with the investigation by the league, according to The Washington Post.

Prior to the NFL taking over, attorney Beth Wilkinson, who is conducting the investigation, was reporting to the team. Now, following a discussion between NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Snyder, Wilkinson is reporting to the league.

“I think that will be extremely helpful in making employees and former employees come forward and share their experiences with the investigators,” Lisa Banks, an attorney who is representing more than a dozen former employees of Snyder’s team, told the Post. “The NFL was getting information every couple days, a few times a week. Now they are talking to the investigators every day. Whatever information they were getting, they decided to take a more active role.”

The investigation was launched after 15 women told The Post they were sexually harassed and verbally abused during their time working for the Washington team. The alleged harassment and abuse took place from 2006 to 2019 and was reportedly carried out by three former members of Snyder’s inner circle and two longtime members of the team’s personnel department, none of whom still work for the team.

Snyder has denied he was personally involved with any of the allegations and has said he will comply with the findings of the investigation and fix the problems within his team’s workplace.
