The scandalous storm around Urban Meyer continues to gather, but supportive Buckeye fans gathered on Monday night in an attempt to help the suspended Ohio State coach weather it.
Outside the gates of Ohio Stadium, more than 100 fans chanted Meyer’s name and sang the OSU fight song during a rally that lasted about 20 minutes.

One of the rally’s attendees was Stacy Elliot, the father of former OSU player and current Dallas Cowboy Ezekiel Elliott. The younger Elliott has been a bit of a lightning rod himself and was suspended last year for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy for an incident with a woman.

Rally participants also held signs mocking the “Me Too” movement and ripping on ESPN for their coverage including one reading: “ESPN = FAKE NEWS.”
In addition to the rally, about 30,000 people had signed an online petition saying they don’t want to see Meyer “wrongfully fired” from the university as of Monday night.
