Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said today that he could not see that Tom Savage was shaking after suffering a bad hit when he made the decision to leave Savage in Sunday’s game against the 49ers, according to ESPN. Savage, who is now under the NFL’s concussion protocol, stayed in the game for another series before leaving for the locker room. O’Brien said that if he had known the severity of the injury, he would have removed Savage from the drive. The NFLPA has said it is looking into the decision to leave Savage in the game.
