NFL Super Agent Drew Rosenhaus Cuts Ties With Antonio Brown

Rosenhaus wants Brown to get some counseling in the near future

If Antonio Brown wants his agent to show him the money moving forward, he’s going to have to get some help.

Drew Rosenhaus, who has stood by Brown throughout an NFL season that saw the star receiver get cut by two teams due to inappropriate behavior and allegations of sexual misconduct, conditionally terminated his relationship with his 31-year-old client earlier this week.

In the letter the NFLPA received on Thursday, Rosenhaus wrote that he would still like to work with Brown, but not until he seeks counseling.

On the surface, it would appear that Brown’s latest indiscretion – a NSFW viral video he recorded of himself yelling at police and the mother of his children at his home in Florida — was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

“Some have wondered over the past year whether Brown has gotten bad advice,” according to ProFootballTalk. “The more accurate characterization may be that he has refused to heed the advice he has received. Rosenhaus, by all appearances, hopes that the termination letter will get Brown to obtain the assistance needed to result in him changing his ways, regarding topics like his interactions with family members and his use of social media.”

Rosenhaus is not the only person to cut ties with Brown in recent days. Brown’s attorney, Darren Heitner, also removed himself as counsel for Brown in a lawsuit filed in 2018 that alleges the former Steeler damaged his condominium.
