As far as perfect premises go, this one is elementary. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are back, and this time the beloved pair are taking on author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary detective duo. A new trailer for Holmes and Watson offers a first peek at Ferrell as Sherlock and Reilly as Dr. Watson.

The trailer promises the most slapstick approach to Doyle’s source material. We’re promised Sherlock and Watson teaching the queen of England to take a selfie using a massive Victorian camera. Ralph Fiennes gets the honor of playing villain Moriarty, and Rebecca Hall gets a starring role as Dr. Grace Hart.

Etan Cohen, who directed Get Hard with Ferrell and Kevin Hart, is behind the camera. Holmes and Watson arrives in theaters on Christmas day.
