War looks a lot scarier as a tidal wave full of sharks, salt-water crocs and various other mythical sea creatures hell-bent on attacking the surface world. The brand new trailer for D.C.’s Aquaman dropped at San Diego’s Comic-Con over the weekend, and makes a strong case for being the best movie to come out of the entertainment company — Wonder Woman might have to move over.

Here’s a look at the film’s official synopsis:

“From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.”

The movie hits theaters Dec. 21, 2018. Take a look at the clip below.
