2018’s Top Wine Destination: Ohio
Forget Napa, instead travel to this small town where wine ratings average 98 out of 100.
Forget heading to Napa for a wine tasting this year. Instead, book a flight to Ohio. According to RewardExpert, which analyzed millions of ratings on CellarTracker to identify where the best reviewed bottles of wine originated, Ohio is the top destination for wine this year. Coshocton, Ohio, to be exact, reports Smithsonian Magazine. Located about two hours south of Cleveland and a bit more than an hour east of Columbus, Coshocton has nine wineries and vineyards that boast an average wine rating of 98 out of 100.
If you can’t bring yourself to head to Ohio, you can go to the second place state: Maryland, specifically the town of Easton. It has 23 wineries and vineyards.
New York, California, Oregon and New Mexico all made the list as well.
