Juliette Lewis and Johnny Galecki will appear in the The Conners, the Roseanne spinoff taking shape in the aftermath of Barr’s firing. Galecki will return as David, while Lewis will join as an addition to the cast in the role of Blue, David’s girlfriend.

The length of Lewis and Galecki’s stay on The Conners is not yet known. Galecki remains the lead of The Big Bang Theory, which, given its popularity, likely currently takes priority over the new sitcom. Maya Lynne Robinson has also joined the cast, replacing Xosha Roquemore in the role of Geena Williams-Conner.

Roseanne Barr said earlier this month that the show will say her character died of an opioid addiction. The Conners will hit ABC’s airwaves in October.
