A new series from Showtime is going to explore the rise of Fox News, with Russell Crowe playing the role of Roger Ailes, the network’s disgraced former CEO. Ailes died in 2017 after he resigned amid allegations of sexual harassment and abuse. The eight-episode series is based on an Ailes biography, The Loudest Voice in the Room, by author Gabriel Sherman.

The series likely won’t be covering the end of Ailes’ reign at the company, since the book was published in 2016, two years before he was ousted. Tom McCarthy (Spotlight) and Jason Blum (Get Out) will serve as executive producers. The series will be told through “multiple points of view” and primarily focuses on the past decade in which “Ailes arguably became the Republican Party de facto leader,” writes Mashable.
