Robin Wright has taken the lead role on House of Cards after Kevin Spacey’s scandal-ridden departure last fall, and now, she’s speaking out about her former co-star. Wright, during an exclusive interview with Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, Wright made it clear that she and Spacey came to work for the same show, but that was it.

“We were co-workers really. We never socialized outside of work,” said Wright, who starred alongside Spacey for five seasons as Claire Underwood, the wife of Spacey’s character, Frank Underwood. Wright also said that the two Netflix stars had a “respectful professional relationship.”

“He was so great with me,” she said, according to the Washington Post. “So that’s my personal experience. That’s the only thing I feel that I have the right to talk about.”

Last November, Netflix severed ties with Spacey after the Oscar winner was accused of sexual misconduct by actor Anthony Rapp, who said Spacey made sexual advances on him when he was 14 and Spacey was 26. After Rapp’s accusation, more allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against Spacey.

When asked if she had ever experienced her own #MeToo moment, Wright said, “Of course. Who hasn’t?” She continued on to say, “This last year I think has shined a light in a new way to allow us to start a new conversation,” she said. “So we just need to shift the paradigm.”
