According to NBC, President Trump hosted Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for a secret meeting at the White House last month.

The meeting came during Zuckerberg’s trip to Washington to testify before Congress about Facebook’s new Libra cryptocurrency.

Peter Thiel, a billionaire venture capitalist and one of seven Facebook board members, was also in attendance at the dinner and “it is unclear why the meeting was not made public or what Trump, Zuckerberg and Thiel discussed,” NBC reported.

The dinner took place the same day Trump met with Apple CEO Tim Cook while touring one of the tech firm’s manufacturing plants in Austin.

“As is normal for a CEO of a major U.S. company, Mark accepted an invitation to have dinner with the President and First Lady at the White House,” a Facebook spokesperson told The Hill.

Zuckerberg also met with Trump during a September trip to Washington and had what was described as a “constructive meeting.”

Since the Ukraine-call whistleblower broke on September 18, Trump has been a major advertiser on Facebook and his campaign has launched 5,883 different ads, according to a Guardian analysis.

Thiel donated more than $1.25 million to get Trump elected president in 2016 and spoke at the Republican National Convention that year.
