Like Jon Snow, we know virtually nothing about the upcoming prequel series to Game of Thrones. On Tuesday, however, fans were treated to reports that Naomi Watts was cast in a lead role in the saga, which is set thousands of years before the events of the current series.

Watts will star as a “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret,” according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter.

Beyond that, details are scare on the untitled project from creator Jane Goldman and author George R.R. Martin, who wrote the A Song of Ice and Fire books on which Game of Thrones is based.

HBO did release a logline: “Only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend — it’s not the story we think we know.”

Watts brings a kind of magic to the fantasy realm having been nominated for two Oscars — for 2004’s 21 Grams and 2012’s The Impossible.
