It’s looking more and more like Megyn Kelly Today is broken news. As NBC struggles with a steady stream of bad PR from the news personality the network signed away from Fox News in January 2017 for a three-year, $23 million annual contract, The New York Post’s Page Six just released a scathing expose of just how bad the situation is internally.

“She is hated inside the Today show and is seen as tarnishing the brand, out-of-control and selfish,” an NBC source told the gossip column.

Especially telling is how much celebrity publicists avoid Megyn Kelly’s part of the Today show for fear of putting their clients in harms way after the conservative firebrand sparked public feuds with Debra Messing and Jane Fonda. ““It’s my job to be smart and plan and I don’t think she’s a smart move. I won’t even let my NBC talent go on her show. She’s a loose cannon,” a talent rep told The Post.

That after her NBC debut, a Sunday night news magazine immediately came under fire for inviting Sandy Hook conspiracy theorist Alex Jones as a guest. Still, there remains some hope, according to at least one source, if NBC peels her off her 9 a.m. slot and puts her back on her strength —investigative journalism.
