Kim Kardashian has spent months talking to Jared Kushner, and it appears to have paid off. The reality star will meeting with President Donald Trump on Wednesday so she can ask Trump to pardon Alice Johnson, a 62-year-old grandmother serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time, non-violent drug offense. She has been in prison for more than 21 years.

Before she meets with the president, Vanity Fair reports that Kardashian will sit will Kushner to discuss prison reform. He has been making a push on the topic for much of his time in the West Wing, since he claims it is an issue that is personal to him. His father, Charles Kushner, spent more than a year in a federal prison camp in Alabama on charges of tax evasion, illegal campaign contributions and witness tampering. Upon joining the White House administration, Kushner vowed to help improve the system. Kushner pushed Congress to support a bipartisan bill known as the First Step Act, which tries to better prepare inmates to re-enter society by encouraging participation in job training and drug treatment programs and would give non-violent offenders more options to serve the ends of their sentences in halfway houses or home confinement.

Kardashian will not be bringing the camera crew for her reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, nor will she bring her publicist or any family members, reports Vanity Fair.
