I don’t know where the idea that Haunted Houses are supposed to be fun came from, but this movie will definitely disprove that myth. Hell Fest is a movie in which people go to a haunted house theme park and encounter a man in a mask who is actually murdering people.

At first it seems like a typical theme park: you sign a waiver, get the actors to try and break character and go on rides. But then the group realizes that everything is actually real.

“One of the executives at my company came to me with a pitch: Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a film about someone who is actually evil, who’s using that environment to kill people?” producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking DeadAliens) told Entertainment Weekly. “What if one of those people in a mask, or one of those people who had a prop chainsaw, was actually a killer themselves? And that is where the idea came from.”

In the trailer, the group does try to tell security (smart move) but he says he can’t arrest people for doing their job.
