The world’s leading luxury brands have revealed the hottest new fragrance of spring: hand sanitizer.

As society rapidly crumbles in the global coronavirus fallout, luxury goods company LVMH has announced it will be transitioning the factories where it normally produces fragrances for high-end brands like Christian Dior, Givenchy and Guerlain into hand sanitizer production facilities.

The company will reportedly be giving the product, made using a formula approved by French authorities as effective against the coronavirus, at no cost to health authorities in France in an attempt to allay a nationwide shortage. The first shipments of hydroalcoholic gel produced in the converted LVMH facilities are expected to reach authorities Monday night. The company said it expects to produce 12 tons of hand gel in the first week, with plans to continue the production “as long as necessary,” according to the New York Times.

Hope you like the smell of hand sanitizer.
