A British couple who named their baby after Adolf Hitler has been jailed for more than ten combined years for being members of a banned neo-Nazi group.

Adam Thomas, 22, and Claudia Patatas, 38, were sentenced to six-and-a-half and five years respectively at Birmingham Crown Court after a jury found them guilty of being members of National Action, which was banned in Britain in 2016, CNN reported.

The couple was sentenced alongside four others, including one man who allegedly taught his daughter to perform a Nazi salute.

It was revealed during the trial that Thomas and Patatas had given their child the middle name Adolf and that photos found at their house showed the newborn baby being held by his Ku Klux Klan-hooded father.
