A White House reporter for CNN issued a public apology on Sunday night after old tweets of her that contained gay slurs resurfaced.

“When I was in college, I used ignorant language in a few tweets to my friends,” tweeted Kaitlan Collins after a news report drew attention to her college-age social media posts. “It was immature but it doesn’t represent the way I feel at all. I regret it and apologize.”

According to New York Post, the tweets were posted by Collins in 2011. She joined CNN in June 2017. In one tweet she says, “Idk if I wanna room with a lesbian.”

The Post also reported another tweet contained the word “f*g.”
