Check Out Transforming Robot Dragon That Can Also Fly

It only has three-minutes of flying time, but it can get through tight spaces or carry cargo.

Remember that robot dog that Boston Dynamic built? It could open doors and it haunted your nightmares (probably) for weeks? Well, scientists from the University of Tokyo have created something even scarier: A transforming flying robot dragon. They scientists synced together four thrusters to create a serpentine, floating aircraft called DRAGON, which stands for Dual-rotor embedded multilink Robot with the Ability of multi-deGree-of-freedom aerial transfromatiON, according to Quartz.

The dragon addresses a few problems that current drones face: it can be small enough to get through tight spaces but has the ability to transform when it needs to carry cargo. However, right now, the dragon only has three minutes of flight time. Scientists say they are working on one that would have the ability to pick up objects.
