CBS has retained law firms Covington & Burling and Debevoise & Plimpton to conduct an investigation into allegations of sexual miscountuct waged against the corporation’s chief, Leslie Moonves, according to the Wall Street Journal.
There are also a number of board members who will sit on a special committee to oversee this investigation, including Bruce Gordon, Linda Griego and Robert Klieger. Moonves has been recused from the investigation and “will have no role in the probes.”
The move comes on the heels of a New Yorker article that details the allegations of six women who say Moonves harassed or inappropriately touched them over several decades. Some say Moonves intentionally hurt their careers when they rebuffed his advances.
