“Better Call Saul” Will Feature Subplot That Gets Into “Breaking Bad” World

A recent interview with the co-creators points to a storyline that brings us into the territory of Walter White.

It has been five long years since we said goodbye to Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, but AMC’s Better Call Saul might be offering us a way to see them again. A recent Entertainment Weekly interview with co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould revealed that Better Call Saul’s upcoming season four will feature “a subplot that very squarely gets into Breaking Bad territory and brings us into the world — or at least points us on a path toward the world of Walter White and the territory of Walter White,” reports Mashable.

This quote doesn’t say much, but Mashable writes that we know Bob Odenkirk, Saul, will appear in the subplot’s scenes, but based on the phrasing Gilligan used, we probably won’t see Bryan Cranston anytime soon. White’s return engagement was at least “a few years off,” Gould said, so many we will see Aaron Paul.

Depending on who Saul’s clients are this season, we might also be heading into Hank territory. A visit from Special Agent Schrader would make sense based off an alleged vocal cameo in season three, reports Mashable.

Better Call Saul premieres on Monday, August 6.
