You'll have to finish cooking the food yourself, though

It’s no secret that many New Yorkers who can afford to do so have run away to the Hamptons during the coronavirus pandemic, and now there’s good news for those of them who are currently missing their favorite NYC foods: several New York City restaurants have begun offering delivery to the Hamptons, 90 miles away.

Restaurants like The Smith and Carbone have been making the journey to Long Island’s East End, offering special delivery options designed to survive the lengthy car trip. As the New York Post points out, The Smith’s Friday-only Hamptons delivery service includes $9 fries cooked halfway (along with a deep fry thermometer, oil, and instructions for the customer to finish them) as well as $12 roast Brussels sprouts and $19 mac and cheese that are meant to be heated before eating.

The items are delivered via a refrigerated truck, and customers can also order raw fish and meat that can be cooked at home with house condiments. The Smith’s $38 burger kit, for example, “features four short-rib grill-ready brisket patties, along with an assortment of accoutrements like bacon shallot jam, crispy onions, American cheese, Smith burger sauce, habanero pickles, little gem lettuce and potato buns.”

Delivery to the Hamptons from The Smith is free for all orders over $250 and costs $19.99 otherwise.
