Over three decades after his Delirious and Raw specials each raked in over $50 million at the box office, Eddie Murphy has confirmed that he will make his return to stand-up comedy next year. On a recent episode of Netflix’s podcast “Present Company With Krista Smith,” the legendary comic revealed he’s got a tour in the works for 2020.

He didn’t reveal much about the subject, simply stating that “next year in 2020 I’m going to go on the road and do some stand-up.” But rumor has it Murphy is in talks with Netflix to film a stand-up special for $70 million. (There’s no official word yet on whether or not the planned stand-up tour is related to a potential deal with the streaming service.)

The return to stand-up comedy is only one part of what appears to be a major comeback brewing for him. In addition to two new movies in the works — Dolemite Is My Name and Coming to America 2 — Murphy is slated to make his highly anticipated return to Saturday Night Live for the first time in 35 years when he hosts on Dec. 21.
