Salvation by Dolly

Dolly Parton has once again proven she is an actual ethereal being of whose presence on earth we are not worthy. The star literally saved a child’s life on the set of her new Netflix Christmas movie, Christmas on the Square, in which Parton just happens to play an actual angel.

Talia Hill, a nine-year-old actress and dancer who performed the film, recently told Inside Edition about the incident in which Parton prevented her from walking into oncoming traffic.

“We were on set, and I was at the hot chocolate station, and they said go back to your beginning positions,” Hill said in the interview. “So there was a vehicle moving, and I was walking, and then somebody grabbed me and pulled me back, and I looked up and it was Dolly Parton.”

According to Hill, Parton wasn’t shy about recognizing her own act of salvation, telling the young actress, “‘I saved your life.’”

“My mom was crying, like, ‘Yes you did, Dolly Parton, yes you did,’” said Hill.

Parton herself even confirmed her angel status, reportedly reminding Hill, “‘Well, I am an angel, you know.’” This, according to Hill, was a reference to the fact that Parton plays an angel in the film, but I think we should take Parton’s words at face value: confirmation that Dolly Parton is, as long suspected, an actual angel walking among us.

If anyone needs me, I will be patiently waiting for my turn to be saved by Dolly Parton.
