Overview
The Art Director will work closely with the Editorial, Audience and Branded Content teams to establish and maintain InsideHook’s visual identity across all channels and touchpoints, including but not limited to: email newsletters, websites, branded content campaigns, social media, B2B and B2C marketing materials, and events and activations. They will also be responsible for day-to-day graphic design and photo editing of our primary content platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, talented, accomplished designer, with a portfolio of projects as strong as their track record of success. They will be deeply collaborative, working cross-functionally with all of InsideHook’s business units, and their clients and partners. The ability to thrive under tight deadlines, and interpret feedback from internal and external partners is essential. The Art Director will be expected to juggle multiple assignments and deadlines, so impeccable time-management skills are a must.

The Manager of Audience Development is a critical part of the Audience Development team. The Manager is responsible for assisting to create and execute the growth strategy of InsideHook. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of digital audiences, InsideHook’s value proposition, differentiation and voice. They will have a deep understanding of what drives users to engage with content, how to convert readers into subscribers, and how our organization can best serve our audience using data.
Responsibilities:
● Increase readership and engagement of InsideHook’s email newsletter editions and website via a multitude of paid and organic tools and tactics
● The Senior Manager will oversee the same functions for InsideHook Studios projects — current (Neil Patrick Harris’ Wondercade email), and future
● Partner with the Senior Director of Audience Development & Editor in Chief on content-focused acquisition and engagement strategies on owned-and-operated platforms, and partner channels. Explore alternative distribution to increase InsideHook’s reach and top-of-funnel opportunities.
● Optimize our relationships with existing syndication partners such as Apple News, SmartNews, MSN and Yahoo News. Seek additional such partnerships.
● Convert readers — on all platforms — into email subscribers; craft detailed, differentiated user journeys for unique audiences
● Oversee the collection and analysis of audience data via our analytics tools. Tools include: Parse.ly, Google Analytics, Sailthru, social media platforms and scheduler and survey results.
● Per the above, identify trends and deliver actionable insights to colleagues to help drive user acquisition, engagement and long-term retention. In short, deliver strategic planning and execution plans via data-driven insights.
● Partner with other members of the team to help develop and execute a 360-degree marketing strategy for all company products, brand activations/events and services; manage public relations efforts
● Distill audience insights in partnership with the Sales team, to be used for both internal strategic planning, forecasting and external client-facing presentations
● Track developing audience growth technologies and best practices, advocate internally for adoption
