Time is money, they say.

But time is not a lot of money, at least when it comes to the new Timex “Time Is Money” ticker.

A collaboration with the Amsterdam streetwear brand Patta, you might expect the new timepiece to be a bit flashy.

But “Time Is Money” fits right in with Timex’s understated aesthetic — the currency symbols around the dial are bold in theory, but featured in a military-inspired tonal pattern, and the black woven strap provides a subtly textured look without screaming “look at me.”

Otherwise you have a stainless steel watch case, water resistance to 50 meters and an INDIGLO® light-up watch dial.

The price isn’t gonna raise eyebrows, either: It’s a cool $130. Perhaps making more of a statement? The bandana that comes with each timepiece, featuring an enlarged black-and-white print of the watch dial’s pattern.

(Still too rich for your blood? Timex is hosting a fall sale through early Tuesday morning, with 20% off select styles when you use the code AUTUMN20 … which does not apply to the Patta collaboration.)
