More than one million possible designs enter, one made-to-order Swiss watch leaves.

That’s essentially the chain of events which occurs when customers head over to Objest’s new customization site and work with the watchmaker to design their own bespoke timepiece.

Featuring an automatic ETA 2824-2 movement with 25 jewels, customization options on the minimalist Hach watches include the crown, case, buckle, strap, rotor and dial as well as how the date, hour, minute and second hands are styled.

The amount of personalization options are dizzying, but there are some features that are uniform across the watches as each one has a rounded case made of stainless steel, sapphire crystals on the front and back, a 38-hour power reserve and is water resistant down to 165 feet.

After the design process is complete, the real work begins: detailed inspections at every stage of the hand-building production results in a process that can take up three weeks.

Guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase for defects in materials and craftsmanship, the Swiss-made Objest timepieces start around $650 and go up from there.

Make time to build one.
