Huckberry Just Dropped a Limited-Edition “Cola” Sport Watch With Timex

Look closer and you'll see the name goes beyond the red-and-black bezel

Timex Huckberry Cola Watch
Been in the market for a red-and-black bezel? Timex and Huckberry have a watch for you.
Huckberry

Huckberry’s first collaboration with Timex was pretty typical of the watch brand’s partnerships: a few tweaks on one of their in-house models. Nothing too crazy.

With the new limited-edition “Cola” Sport Watch, the second time the brands are getting together, it’s a whole different story. Despite the shop saying it was “designed from a blank canvas,” the watch is more accurately a reworking of the Q Timex — a refreshed ‘70s watch we’ve been wearing for some time — but with some choice upgrades.

First and foremost, there’s the name “Cola,” which of course alludes to the red-and-black bezel, a color scheme that continues onto the dial (and is found on Rolex models, as well as brands that happily copy Rolex). There are plenty of carry-over elements from the Q as well, from the hands to the squared case to the woven bracelet, but look closer and there are some interesting deviations. The “crosshair” dial is a military-inspired design, anchored by faceted indices at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. And then zoom in on the day-date window and you’ll see another change — the typeface is not straight, but fizzy.

Remember, this is a limited-edition model (the last Huckberry collab was capped at 700 watches), so if you dig it, don’t miss out.
