The Koenigsegg Agera RS Is Here and Ready for Her Closeup

So much horsepower it makes horses blush

This orange crush won’t be the first to grace the Stateside shores, but she’ll be the first federalized ride. Other makes like the One:1 were likely imported under the “Show or Display” clause. But in November of last year, Koenigsegg announced that it was indeed building a U.S.-spec Agera RS.

After approximately six months of grinding away, she’s ready for the big debut today, with a preliminary stop at McCall’s Motorworks Revival before jetting off to The Quail Motorsport Gathering on the 19th.

Donning chassis number 128 at the request of its new owner, (sorry fellas, she’s taken) the Agera RS is comin’ in hot in Karosserie Orange with a clear carbon fiber strip striking the center and fitted with the largest bespoke rear wing to date.

Under the hood, she’s equipped with a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 pumping out 1,160 HP on regular ol’ gas. We can’t wait to see what happens when she’s running off an ethanol blend. The engine is wed with a 7-speed sequential gearbox from Italy’s CIMA for controlling only the rear wheels.

Unfortunately, as with many specialty supercars, it is not just this make that’s spoken for — it’s her whole family. The run of 25 builds is already sold. But, the speed demons among us will be holding our breath for the next make, the Regera Hybrid with an 80-vehicle run.
