Does Your Superyacht Have a Waterfall Pool and an Outdoor Cinema?
With nearly enough room to host the World Series, the Galactica Super Nova was delivered and built in 41 months (or 1,255 fewer months than it took the Cubs to finally get back to the Fall Classic).
Despite its size and the speed with which it was constructed, the 230-foot-long superyacht from Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts was outfitted with all the extra care and stylish touches you’d expect to find in, well, a superyacht.
With an exterior created by Espen Oino, the Super Nova has amenities like a spa with jacuzzis, a pool with a waterfall, a luxurious dining area and a helipad that converts to an outdoor cinema.
Able to accommodate 12 guests across its five cabins and master suite, the custom build has 3,842 square feet of available deck space spread throughout its four-pack of levels, as well as an additional 1,500 square feet of room to play with in the form of a beach club.
The boat is also light on its props and capable of hitting 30 knots in 75 seconds thanks to a pair of MTU wing motors and a third propulsion engine that uses a Rolls-Royce booster jet.
“The Galactica Super Nova is both an evolution of our long experience in the superyacht sector, but also the result of our a growing demand for fast transit speeds combined with the high level of comfort and space traditionally associated with displacement cruising,” Mark Cavendish of Heesen told Boat International. “Speed was important.”
We assume he meant that in multiple contexts.
