Can Someone Tell This 50-Foot Superboat That It’s Not a Mercedes Roadster
Cigarette Racing just took a page from the GT R playbook
John Lennon had Yoko Ono.
Andy Warhol had Edie Sedgwick.
Woody Allen had Diane Keaton. And Mia Farrow. And Scarlett Johansson. And Miley Cyrus.
Point is, every great artist needs a great muse. When Cigarette Racing was looking for inspiration for its 3,100-HP superboat, they were happy to find the Mercedes-AMG GT R.
Unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show, the 50-foot Marauder AMG takes cues from the GT R and is designed to be freakishly fast, stylishly sleek and amazingly aerodynamic.
Weighing in at under 10 tons, the mostly carbon-fiber Marauder was built with assistance from Mercedes and has a race-style cabin layout and a pair of four-valve Mercury Racing engines.
Lightweight and powerful, the handsome devil can as much as 130 MPH in open water.
“From the very beginning we were confident that Mercedes-AMG would be the perfect partner as our companies both take great pride in our triumphant racing heritage and maintain a steadfast focus on pushing the limits of performance,” said Cigarette Racing CEO Skip Braver.
Cigarette Racing has yet to reveal a price for the one-off build, but you can ask them here.
