About two hours south of Cancún along the Riviera Maya is Tulum. And in the jungle near Tulum’s beach is the Papaya Playa Project‘s newest accommodation: the Tree House.

The Tree House actually isn’t the most expensive property on the premises: that would be the Casa Palapa Beach House (about $4,500 per night), a two-floor, nearly 10,000-square-foot expanse with five bedrooms and a fully stocked kitchen, plus a private butler and the option of a private chef at additional expense. And if you’re there on a (relative) budget, look for the $275-per-night one-bed ocean cabanas. King beds, AC, beach views, and small terraces. Sounds like a bargain to us.
