Netflix Cancels Events for ‘The Punisher’ After Las Vegas

Promotional events for the series based on the violent comic were canceled in Paris and New York.

Netflix has pulled the plug on events at New York ComicCon and in Paris to promote its violent series Marvel’s The Punisher after the mass shooting in Las Vegas. The series is based on a Marvel comic book about Marine Corps veteran Frank Castle who becomes a vigilante after his family is gunned down by criminals.

Netflix and Marvel “decided it wouldn’t be appropriate for Marvel’s The Punisher to go ahead with the Paris Nuit Noire event and to participate in New York Comic Con,” the companies said in a statement, according to the Washington Post.

You may not see it at New York Comic Con, but you can watch the trailer for Marvel’s The Punisher below.
