Watching the First VR Surgery Broadcast Live

An operating room in London recently hosted the world’s first-ever live broadcast of a virtual-reality surgery. Spectators from around the world were able “sit in” on the surgery, using a $15 Google Cardboard viewer. Atlas Obscura‘s Cara Giaimo was “there.” Read her first-person account of the day here.
