In an era where our smartphones hold more of our personal information than our wallets do, it would make sense to splurge on the securest one. Sirin Labs is banking on this with its inaugural device, Solarin, joining a luxury smartphone marketplace that already includes notables like Vertu. The Israeli startup claims its Solarin is the most secure smartphone on the market. The device boasts 256-bit end-to-end VoIP encryption (for internet-based phone calls), email encryption, and an intrusion detection system that protects the phone against network host–based attacks.
In addition to its digital armor, Solarin’s shell has four bespoke options: black carbon titanium, black carbon diamond-like carbon (DLC), black carbon yellow gold, or crystal white DLC. The Sirin Labs device also comes with a 24 MP camera, 5.5-inch 2K IPS display, fingerprint sensor, 8-core Qualcomm processor, 4 GBs of RAM, 128 GBs of storage, waterproofing, Corning Gorilla Glass, and a battery that can last up to 48 hours on a single charge.
