The World’s First Virtual Reality Theme Park
Pleasant Grove, Utah. That’s where we shall get our first permanent virtual gaming arena. Excuse us, “hyper-reality” gaming arena, which is the term preferred by the Void, who has already done a trial run with their Ghostbusters Experience at Manhattan’s Madame Tussauds.
And what will those journeying to Utah experience? After you take your Rapture Gear—a virtual reality headset, vest, and weapon—you’ll have digital representations of physical objects projected around you to create that full hyper-reality, which will feature 4-D sensory effects. (Those can be everything from sounds to even smells, not to mention motion simulators.)
The Void has yet to announce an official opening date, though Futurism reports it will open by November. The ticket price hasn’t been set, but the Void’s site notes that the Ghostbusters Experience was $20 in addition to the Madame Tussauds admission, for a total tab of $49.
