No Sweat

“Never let them see you sweat.”

First rule of negotiation. And deodorant commercials.

But harder to manage when it comes to your everyday getup.

Until this: sweat- and wrinkle-free dress shirts from Mizzen+Main, available now.

M+M, a self-described “American shirtmaker and haberdasher,” takes the science of modern athletic gear and grafts it onto handsome, breathable dress shirts.

Meaning: no pit stains. No dry-cleaning or ironing necessary.

But still a good fit: there’s plenty of stretch here.

The shirt designs, all named after iconic authors (Hemingway, Steinbeck, Eliot, etc.), are variations on the classics: spread-collar ginghams, gray oxford button-ups, blue crosshatch dress shirts. Smart stuff with a nice splash of color (and you can vote on their next design).

And all sourced and made in the USA. With a portion of proceeds earmarked for veterans’ causes.

Like what you see? M+M also crafts a similarly themed line of henleys, caps, T-shirts and — available now for preorder — performance denim and a wrinkle-free blazer (“Throw it in your duffel bag!”).

Until then, stay dry out there.
