Suede is the pumpkin spice of the of the fashion world.

Both are seasonal. Both hit their stride come cooler weather. And both are dishes best served in moderation.

When it comes to suede, that means footwear. Meaning: you never wanna be caught head-to-toe in the fuzzy stuff. It’s a material that works best as a subtle punch of texture. Whereas you want to layer colors to stand out in spring, fall is all about layering textures: a chunky wool sweater, a hearty selvedge denim, a soft-edged flannel … and underneath it all, a pair of dusty suede kickers.

Below, a few of our favorite iterations for the season. Once you decide on something, make sure you know how to clean ‘em.
