They Perfected Wallets, So Now Bellroy’s Turning to Leather Bags

Slim, lightweight and organizationally sound

We’ve been huge fans of Bellroy for years — the Australian brand’s travel wallets are perennial favorites, and they also craft an array of laptop sleeves, work accessories and handsomely minimalist totes and backpacks.

Oh, and we dig their eco-conscious ethos (the company is a Certified B Corporation).

Now, they’re upping their leather game with two new premium bags: “Designers Editions” of their Melbourne Tote and Laptop Brief. Available in two colors each (black and burnt sienna), the bags use premium hides tanned under strict environmental protocols.

More importantly, these are still fantastic organizers (dedicated pockets galore!) without the bulk and stiffness of other leather duffels we’ve used.

The Laptop Brief features a magnetized laptop pocket, a suede-like lining, removable shoulder strap and separate pockets for pens, cards, notes, phones and other office needs.

The Melbourne Tote has a magnetic strip to quickly snap things shut (or grab something quickly), separate pockets for umbrellas and bottles, and a dedicated laptop pocket.

Both bags feature a bright and clean look, slim profiles and should age gracefully while keeping their form.
