As much as I have come to appreciate the look of shoes like the Yeezy 350 V2 and the Boost 700 Wave Runner, and as much as I marvel at the people I see wearing them on the street, I also recognize that they are a bit… advanced for me, a 40-year-old father of two who pretty much lives in Vans and OCBDs.
But! There is a lesser-hyped line of Yeezys that’s far less intimidating, far more affordable, and newly available in some very cool colors. The Yeezy Powerphase was originally released back in 2017 in grey, black and off-white leather and just got a perfectly autumnal update with three new colorways: quiet grey, clear brown, and simple brown, which is very confusing since they are all very clearly just different shades of grey?
Anyway! They are super nice and can easily be pulled off by the kind of dude who wears Puma Classics, Reebok Club 8 85s or Stan Smiths.
