Before the NFL season began, a trendy Super Bowl choice was Eagles/Jaguars.

That was a pick with good merit as the Eagles won the Super Bowl last year and the Jaguars were a game away from reaching it after losing to the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.

Now, that pick is not looking too hot as both teams are 3-4 and one of them is guaranteed not to get back to .500 this week as the clubs are playing each other in London on Sunday.

Thanks to the Jaguar’s decision to bench Blake Bortles on Sunday and the in-fighting affecting the team, the troubles in Jacksonville have gotten all of the coverage, but things in Philly are not exactly rosy either.

The Eagles haven’t beaten a team with a record over .500 this year and, even if they do win this week, that won’t change.

Their defense is still playing decent – sixth in the league in points against at 19.7 – but franchise quarterback Carson Wentz has been less than stellar in his return from injury and has a raw quarterback rating (QBR) of 62.7, according to ESPN.

Jacksonville has a similar issue as their defense is ninth in the NFL at 20.9 points against per game, but Bortles has been bad and his QBR of 46.1 is not getting the job done.

To put Bortles’ and Wentz’s QBR numbers in perspective, they are behind borderline benchwarmers like Mitchell Trubisky, Jameis Winston, and Andy Dalton.

Through seven weeks of play, the mighty have fallen and depending on what happens in London on Sunday, either the Eagles or Jaguars will tumble even further in Week 8.

But how do the power rankers from ESPNNFL.com, and USA Today see it?

Find out in the latest edition of RealClearLife‘s Ultimate NFL Power Rankings, which combine ratings from those three outlets to get a single rank for all 32 teams in NFL and use segmented tiers to arrange them.
