I don’t know if all those years ago we would have looked into our sartorial crystal ball and predicted Todd Snyder would become a sneaker drop king, but here we are. The menswear designer hasn’t let us down on a shoe collab yet, and that includes the new Triborough 997 with New Balance.

His ever-growing cachet in the sneaker world also means this new shoe is selling out fast. If you want to get a pair of the latest Snyder NBs to rock into 2021, you may want to skip the rest of this and try to snag a pair in grey or burgundy (navy is already sold out).

If you’ve got a minute, there are a number of details in the Triborough 997 worth a closer look. First there’s the “Flying NB” logo, a departure from previous collaborations which featured the classic block “N.” As the site notes, this logo was found on early iterations of the 997 but apparently hasn’t been back until now. Looking beyond that tiny bit of branding history you’ll find a number of little heritage touches and accents done up in suede that take a relatively staid shoe and turn it into a superstar — as the dwindling sizes make clear.

If this isn’t quite the shoe for you, or you miss out, don’t forget that Todd is throwing a fantastic winter sale with new additions and discounts popping up often.
