Adidas is set to release the newest version of the Ultraboost, their most popular running shoe and one of the most important sneakers of the past decade. test in the series, the Ultraboost 21.

Seeking to redesign the sneaker’s Torsion System (a thermoplastic arch bridging the heel and forefoot), the 21 features LEP, or “Linear Energy Plush,” which ultimately makes for a more responsive shoe. For those already familiar with the BOOST technology, this iteration of the sneaker features an exaggerated heel curve which allows for 6% more BOOST to be use, meaning it’s the series’ most responsive, cushioned and comfortable shoe to date.

The design is further enhanced by the PRIMEKNIT+ upper, which offers a more precise knit than design’s past that in turn allows for more stability and support. In an announcement for the launch, Adidas Running’s Senior Design Director Moritz Hollmüller said that the brand has made their “most holistic running shoe ever, that is the ultimate expression of comfort and responsiveness.”

While the white and “Fluroescent Yellow” colorway (pictured above) won’t be available through the Adidas web store until January 28, you can currently shop the Ultraboost 21 in grey at Finish Line, with more colorways set to drop soon.
