See How Your Neighbors Voted in the 2016 Election
An election expert at Decision Desk HQ just published the most detailed national map of the 2016 election in existence, NBC News reports.
And it gets so granular that it breaks down the results on a neighborhood by neighborhood basis.
“After spending most of my spare time in 2015 working on a global religion map, the 2016 Presidential Primaries rolled around, and I decided to go for it,” Ryne Rohla wrote in a post showcasing his work. “I would do everything in my power to create a national precinct map. I didn’t have a team of researchers. I didn’t have aides. I didn’t have much extra money. I didn’t have connections. But for some reason, I thought I could do it anyway.”
While Rohla admits that it isn’t perfect, he writes that the map “still displays the returns of more than 131 million ballots cast, over 95% of all Presidential votes in the election.”
At one point Thursday afternoon, the interactive map was unavailable due to high traffic. Check here to see if it is back up. In the meantime, take a look at some of the maps below.
