At a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Wednesday, a Republican Congressman called upon his auctioneering expertise and used well over 280 characters to drown out a female protester.

During the hearing, alt-right activist Laura Loomer began chirping at Dorsey from the audience, accusing him of political bias and using his social media platform to influence elections.

To drown her out, Rep. Billy Long of Missouri began using the skills he learned while working as a professional auctioneer.

“One and a quarter, one and a half…Two! Two and a quarter, yup, two and a half, seventy-five — three,” Long shouted, drowning out Loomer. “We’re selling the cell phone there.”

Long’s skills were so effective because they are legit as he is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Missouri Professional Auctioneers’ Hall of Fame.

Loomer was taken out of the hearing by police following her drowned-out demonstration and was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.
